The effect of temperature on the electron-stimulated desorption lithium atoms from surface 2D semiconductor LixAuy intermetallic compounds in range 160 to 300 K was studied. were formed during deposition gold film 2 monolayers thick at room temperature. An island mechanism for formation has been proposed. decrease yield electronically stimulated with decreasing is associated a probability capturing an excited electron into conduction band local state near bottom band. calculation by density functional method showed that LiAu layers form compounds, width which decreases increasing thickness layer.
